About Me
Hello,
So, assuming you have not landed on this page by pure coincidence or, worse, black voodoo magic, I guess you want to know more about me. Hm, alright, I grant thee thy wish.
So, who am I? My name is Yonko Ganchev and I am like you, an ordinary guy, living out his life. At the moment I live in the United States in Atlanta, worst place for commuters. I am now 30, sheesh, time does fly. I hail from Bulgaria. Yes, that’s somewhere in Eastern Europe, north of Greece and Turkey, south of Romania, and NO, I am not Hungarian. My parents are both naval architects, well, I actually don’t really know the correct term for their profession. Back home, literally translated into English, they are ship building engineers. I.e. my folks draw the blueprints, which construction crews and engineers use to build ships. Hope that explained a bit. I’ve got a brother who works at the South-African embassy in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, as… last time I checked, consular officer. Or something similar, he explained, I listened and forgot. I know if he reads this page he’ll kick my butt… I don’t care
Come and get me, bro.
What I do for a living is what I have always wanted to do – work with computers and help people at the same time. So, I am somewhat of an Independent IT consultant, sounds big, well, it’s not that really. I spend my weekdays going to 4 different Keller Williams offices. KW happens to be one of the fastest growing real estate companies on the market. And I love it, I get to meet new people almost every day, I get to share my knowledge with people who can be anywhere between a real estate guru and a rookie. I teach classes, have 1-on-1 appointments every day, I help advance the IT infrastructure of the offices, get to troubleshoot failing equipment, occasionally save the day (Huzzah!) and veeeeery rarely I get to be mad. No, seriously, I have those days, again, very, very infrequently.
I am also a tinkerer. I have a MacBook Pro, an iMac desktop, an eMac desktop (for guests) and another custom built monster of a desktop (well, it’s disassembled and inactive now but I have it) with parts from various manufacturers. Whenever I’m not tweaking a computer, or working with clients, I usually tinker with one of those machines. Either disassemble, clean, upgrade or repair is underway. Or sometimes I would…ha, write this blog.
Well, that’s it folks, thanks for visiting my blog. Please, subscribe to it and every now and then I’ll post updates.
